Green tea slows the accumulation of fat

Green tea can be a secret weapon in the fight against obesity, says "Daily Express", citing the results of American research. Specialists from the University of Pennsylvania have found that regular consumption of green tea slows down the process of obesity.

The researchers gave mice with obesity compound EGCG / epigallocatechin-3-gallate /, which is found in various types of green tea. Rodents were exposed to high-fat diet. It turned out that those who were given the compound EGCG, gain weight more slowly than rodents, not supplements. Researchers explain that EGCG inhibits the ability to absorb fat and also stimulate combustion.

Joshua Lambert of the research team explained that a personshould drink 10 cups of green tea a day to mimic the effectsfound in the study. Experts have also found that the drink does not suppress appetite, as both groups of mice received the same amount of food.

Previous studies have shown that even a few cups of green teaa day can help control weight.
