Snacks are useful, but do not help weight loss

A balanced diet is recommended by nutritionists to maintain good shape and health. In their food intake at approximately equal intervals maintains blood sugar levels stable, preventing the emergence of "ravenous hunger" and even helps in weight loss.

American researchers argue that the snack is sabotaging effect regime aimed at weight reduction.

In a study of the Center for Prevention at the Institute for Research on Cancer, "Fred Hatchistan" in Seattle are involving 123 women with overweight and obesity between the ages of 50 and 75 years participating in a special program to reduce weight and studying the effects of dietary and physical activity in prevention of breast cancer.

For data analysis the researchers found that women who are eaten between breakfast and lunch, lost 7% of their weight for a year. In contrast, those who are missing the morning snack, have diminished by 11%.

According to experts, the effectiveness of intermediate meal in the first half of the day is lost due to the relatively small interval between breakfast and lunch. According to Ann MakKiernan, director of the center, this habit is rather superfluous, since the body can not experience hunger between these meals.

97% of all women who ate further, these nineteen percent who eat between 10 and 11 hours are more likely to eat too much and the rest of the day.

Institute experts believe that nutrition is becoming more "meaningless". People are eating less, to ensure your body the necessary energy for its functioning, but more because of other habits. This according to them requires establishment of new regimes of healthy eating to exclude intake of excess calories.

Although weight loss is not achieved through the introduction of snacks, it's more healthy diet, stress the researchers. People who adhere to a balanced food intake, eating more fruits, vegetables and whole grain products, which take more than useful for fiber tract.
